What Is ChatGPT?

ChatGPT is a form of generative AI -- a tool that lets users enter prompts to receive humanlike images, text or videos that are created by AI.

Introduction:
A piece of software based on AI (Artifical Intelligence) which simulates conversation or chat between user and itself is known as chatbot. The ChatGPT is one of the applications of Chatbot which is designed on top of GPT-3. The GPT-3 is very powerful language model which makes use of machine learning algorithms to simulate human-machine interface.

The ChatGPT is variant of GPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer). It was developed by OpenAI. It uses complex machine learning model. The ChatGPT model has been developed using various tools and technologies such as PyTorch, pretrained model, distributed training, data augmentation and evaluation metrics.

➨In order to use ChatGPT, first user need to sign up at following website with his/her email ID and password or using google or microsoft account.

➨After user has signed up, following dashboard screen appears.
➨User can start interacting with the ChatGPT bot as shown in the box provided.
➨ChatGPT replies to your query in the same screen and above the box provided for query.
➨User can modify the query and pose it again and again till he/she satisfies with the response from the ChatGPT. ChatGPT learns itself from the past query and provide adequate response for future queries to the user.

Following are the features of ChatGPT:

• It understands overall context of query or conversation and generate specific responses which are relevant to the topic.
• It has ability to learn from previous conversations and utilizes the same to provide relevant responses to any future queries based on learning.
• It continuously improves over time and becomes more effective chatbot.
• It can be used as language learning tool.
• It can be used as language translation tool.

Benefits Or Advantages Of ChatGPT:

1. It provides specific and quick responses to user queries, which can be beneficial for tasks that require immediate assistance.
2. It remembers the interactions that it had previously with the user in the same prompt tree and utilizes it to provide information surrounding those responses.
3. It allows users to have follow-up corrections until he/she gets satisfied with the response.
4. It has been trained to decline in-appropriate requests.
5. With 24/7 availability, Chat GPT can provide responses and assistance around the clock, making it accessible whenever you need it.
6. It has access to vast amount of information up to its knowledge cutoff data, which can be helpful for answering a wide range of questions.
7. ChatGPT can communicate in multiple languages, making it useful for global audience.
8. ChatGPT is not influenced by human biases and can provide impartial information.
9. It maintains consistency in responses and doesn't get tired or distractd, ensuring a uniform level of assistance.
10. It can handle large number of users simultaneously, making it suitable for businesses and organizations with high traffic.
11. It doesn't store personal data or information about users, ensuring privacy.
12. ChatGPT can be a valuable educational resource, helping users learn about a wide range of topics.

Drawbacks Or Disadvantages Of ChatGPT:

1. ChatGPT can be prone to errors as well as misuse.
2. Google search engine is more powerful and provides more accurate information compare to ChatGPT.
3. Google search engine can provide more search results compare to ChatGPT based on keywords entered by surfers.
4. Users need to provide specific queries in ChatGPT where as google will provide search results as per keywords entered by users. Google filters results from its huge database of web pages from most popular authentic websites.
5. It may generate incorrect information occasionally. Hence validate response yourself specifically when it involves calculations or formula or language related code examples to specific queries such as MATLAB or python codes.
6. It can be manipulated to violate the policies and restrictions that has been enforced on it by using cleverly-thought responses.
7. It has limited knowledge of latest technologies and events which are yet to be trained on the model.
8. It can struggle to maintain context in long conversations and may provide irrelevent or contradictory responses.
9. ChatGPT doesn't have real world experience, which limits its ability to provide practical advice in certain situations.
10. Chat GPT lacks emotional intelligence and empathy, which can be important in certain interactions.
11. In some industries, the use of AI chatbots like ChatGPT may lead to job displacement for human customer support agents.

Conclusion: 

Though there are few limitations of ChatGPT, it is one of the excellent virtual assistant tool. It is rapidly evolving field with lot of growth, potential and development. It can be improved in understanding natural languages, to handle more complex tasks, improvement in increased personalisation, integration with other technologies etc. People prefer both Google search engine as well as ChatGPT to leverage unique capabilities and benefits of both.
